Gonçalo Nova is the new Principal Trombonist in the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. In this episode, we learn a little about him, his start on trombone and how he found his way to Calgary.
The music in this episode is from "Colors" by Bert Appermont, performed by the Banda Sinfónica Portuguesa, and the Concertino for Trombone and Orchestra in E-flat major, Op. 4 by Ferdinand David, performed at the Prague Spring International Music Competition 2023, both with Gonçalo Nova as soloist.
